Swingsets, Inc. manufactures its product from Southern Yellow Pine.
Our pine sets are constructed from Dense Structural Select Lumber, a grade three times higher than the No. 1 grade typically used in the swing set industry. Wolmanized Natural Select wood provides protection against rot and decay by utilizing its patented, EPA-approved formula. This wood is also the strongest of "soft woods" and its ability to hold fasteners is among the highest. That's why our swing hangers on these units are not drilled completely through the boards.
Our Hardware
How your swing set is held together is an important factor when choosing a play system that is just right for your family. Swingsets, Inc. uses one of the highest quality grades of hardware available. We only use weather-resistant, heavy duty, high-quality zinc-plated fasteners to guarantee strength, stability and safety. Our bolts are recessed to prevent small hands from getting scraped and to prevent clothing from getting caught. Additionally, galvanized wood screws rather than nails are used to securely hold decking materials.
