Frame-It-All 8 x 7-ft. Hexagon Sandbox with Optional Cover

The corner joists did not come with the screws needed for assembly. We had to stop assembly and make a trip to the hardware store for 8 screws.
There were no directions for assembly and for the most part the picture sufficed, but it would have been helpful to have directions for the corner piece assembly especially with the stacking of the taller box.

I bought this as a sandbox for my 14 month old. It is a good size, big enough for friends and toys without being overbearing. It did not come with any directions, although it was fairly easy to figure out how to put it together. It would have been nice to have some "tips" when assembling. Once I added sand, I noticed that it leaks out the corners, not severely but enough. Also, if there is any puddled water on the cover it wets the sand. Save money and use a tarp. Only good surprise was the weedproofing base that I didn't know was included. Any handy person could build something similar out of 2 by 12's, probably for less money.

My 2 yr old loves it, and it easily fits him and a few others...it was pretty easy to put together although it would have been nice to have a set of directions. Ours didn't come with directions, but we managed to put it together relatively fast (+/- 1hr). I only wish that the cover came with it at the regular price. The sandbox is sturdy and looks like it will really last for many years, even with two boys doing thier best to destroy it.:)
